Core Mechanic

Meso, the heart of the puddle is running out of energy, the puddle is dying. The player needs to collect energy and bring it back to Meso before it’s too late.

However, mysterious invaders block your way, and an algae plague has infested the puddle absorbing Meso’s energy.
Dodge the invaders, cut the algae and manage your energy and time.

Movement as challenge

A central design pillar is the “floaty” movement. One the one hand, it is very accessible and easy to learn, as it only requires the joystick. One the other hand, its high sensitivity creates a new movement challenge requiring precision, fast reaction skills and forethought.

If you want to try it out, download the demo on steam!

Diagetic UI

A moving light source always indicates Meso's direction. It moves relatively to the player, at the screen edges.
Changing colors and sound indicate that the energy is running out.
